Axedale gets arty
Completed by indigenous artists Aimee McCartney and Tony Firebrace, the artwork was officially unveiled at an Axedale Our Town Our Future (AOTOF) community event on Sunday, November 17, with attendees able to learn all about the mural from its creators. The event was attended by members of AOTOF, representatives of project sponsor Fosterville Gold Mine, community organisations, members of Friends of Bendigo-Kilmore Rail Trail and local residents.
The Friends group also participated in a community expo at the Axedale Park that was held in conjunction with the official unveiling. The FBKRT are a very active group, keep up to date with all their latest developments, events and initiatives on their recently upgraded website bendigokilmorerailtrail.com/
